Families Soon Welcome on Xbox Live

Families Soon Welcome on Xbox Live

None

With Microsoft’s most recent announcement regarding Xbox Live subscription pricing, the old adage remains true. The family that plays together saves together, or something like that. Families this fall will be able to buy an Xbox Live Gold Family Pack for $99, which will provide families with up to four annual Gold memberships for the price of two. Considering that this would otherwise run you $200 a year, $99 looks like a pretty good value.

In addition, the Xbox Live Gold Family Pack will also come with a few other features that make it simpler to manage the entire families’ Live activities. The primary account holder can have all purchases charged to their billing account, points can be purchased by the primary account holder and then distributed to the secondary accounts, purchases can require authorization in order to help control online spending, and activity monitoring reports can be viewed on Xbox.com in order to keep track of what the kids are playing. Those purchasing the Family Pack will also have access to exclusive family content and discounts, although no specifics or examples of what to expect from these have currently been given.
