Xbox Live Unveils Family Plan

Xbox Live Unveils Family Plan

None

Got multiple Xbox Live users in your home? Xbox Live has you covered with the new Xbox Live “Family Pack,” which allows you to have up to four Xbox Live Gold accounts for a one-year subscription fee of $99. Under the new pricing structure, that $99 is less than the price of two Xbox Live year-long subscriptions, so as long as you are using it for two or more people, the family plan looks like a good deal.d

However, there are a few minor caveats. Most notably, only one “Master” account can be listed on the Family Pack, which means only one person can purchase games on Xbox Live for the console. Gamertags associated with the family plan also have to be local to a single console. If you don’t mind these caveats, the Family Pack may be for you. If you’re already a subscriber, you can purchase a Family Pack account at a prorated price, with $5 being deducted for every month you (and any existing subscribers you want to add) still have left on your subscription. And if you have more than twenty months, you upgrade to the Family Pack for free.
