Assassin’s Creed IV Has its First Multiplayer Event: Called Under Control

Assassin’s Creed IV Has its First Multiplayer Event: Called Under Control

For those of you who are dressing up as pirates this Halloween, this piece of news may tickle your fancy! Ubisoft has announced on PlayStation.blog that the there will be an Assassin’s Creed community event starting from Friday all the way through the weekend, called Under Control.

This community event marks the first multiplayer event for Assassin’s Creed IV , where Assassin’s and Templars alike are encouraged to compete against one another to win in-game prizes! Yay!

For this multiplayer event you will need to participate in a Domination match, much in the manner of Take and Hold, or King of the Hill. In order to win, you and your team must capture and defend territories from your opposing team (who will be trying to do the same) to rack up points. A team wins whenever they fill their points bar, or whichever team has the highest amount at the time when the match ends after a certain countdown.

Playing with what Ubisoft describes as their, “ most aristocratic characters,” you will have to participate in the event with either the Huntsman, the Puppeteer, the Dandy, or the Duelist. Ubisoft will also be providing you with various community objectives during the event, to win you those in-game prizes. There will even be an individual objective too, which is to capture 15 territories to win you an exclusive in-game profile image and a unique title.

Achieving the community objective will only occur when the entire Assassin’s Creed community achieves the community objective, and upon doing so will win you exclusive “ classy white Assassin costumes ” for the four characters mentioned above, and you’ll be allowed to use the costumes at any time you line within the multiplayer.

Ubisoft would also like some player feedback during this community event, and asks that players to submit what they think on the Assassin’s Creed IV community thread . If you do this, and are participating in the event itself, Ubisoft will award you with a set of exclusive Assassin’s Creed IV avatars, which is promised to be sent to such participants no later than November 23 via email (both personal and an XMB message) as a voucher code.

Will you be participating in Assassin’s Creed IV’s Under Control event? Let us know in the comments!
