Battleborn , Bloodborne, Battlerite… you’d be forgiven for not being able to keep them all straight. Battlerite is what we’re talking about today, and it’s a MOBA/team brawler in the vein of Smite and League of Legends . The twist with Battlerite is that it’s more action-based, centered around dodging attacks in slow-motion “bullet time” and reacting with well-timed skillshots.
You’ll be able to get a taste of Battlerite this weekend, as the Early Access title will be free to play on Steam from Thursday, December 1 through Sunday, December 4. If you find that you enjoy the game, you’ll be able to purchase its Early Access version for 25% off the normal price, making it $15. The developer reports that it has sold more than 400,000 copies since going into Early Access.
If you absolutely cannot wait to get your hands on Battlerite , the $15 price is actually applicable today, courtesy of the Steam Autumn Sale, but it will revert to its regular price for the day preceding its free weekend. So buy it today or Thursday, but not tomorrow.
