Sony’s First Ever PlayStation Experience Concludes

One of the most epic and groundbreaking events to ever hit the game industry has now come and gone, and boy do we have a lot to talk about!

In what was one part E3, one part celebration and three parts awesome (yes I know that doesn’t add up), Sony put on a hell of a shindig at the Venetian Hotel & Casino over the weekend! The PlayStation Experience was packed full of panels, game demos and announcements covering all things Sony. There was tons of info to come out of the conference, but here are just a few of the highlights (via GameSpot):

  • Bungie showed off PlayStation exclusive content that will launch with Destiny’s first expansion, The Dark Below. It includes The 4th Horseman exotic four-barreled shotgun and The Undying Mind strike on Mars. This content will be exclusive through Fall 2015.
  • Naughty Dog revealed the first gameplay footage of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
  • Persona 5 coming to PS4 in North America following it Japanese release in 2015.
  • Sony announced Wattam, the next game from Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi.
  • Kill Strain, a top-down, free-to-play multiplayer game, is coming to PS4.
  • EA is offering three free games on PlayStation platform this weekend.
  • The developer behind The Unfinished Swan is working on a mysterious game called What Remains of Edith Finch, in which you experience the deaths of several members of a cursed family in Washington state.
  • Sony revealed a top-down action roguelike called Enter the Gungeon.
  • Both Broken Age acts are coming to PS4 and PS Vita in 2015, day and date with the PC version.
  • Grim Fandango: Remastered is coming out January 27 2015
  • Sony and Double Fine are partnering to remaster Day of the Tentacle, as they did for Grim Fandango.
  • Sony announced Fat Princess Adventures, a sequel to the PS3’s top-down multiplayer game.
  • Final Fantasy VII, seemingly the same version that was released on Steam last year, is coming to PS4 this spring.
  • The Forest, currently in Steam Early Access, is coming to PS4.
  • Shovel Knight is coming to PS4 in 2015 and features Kratos from God of War.
  • Super Time Force Ultra is coming to PS4 and PS Vita, and it’s adding SCE’s President of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida as a playable character.
  • Ultra Street Fighter 4 is coming to PS4
  • Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions is coming to the PS Vita this Spring.
  • Darkest Dungeon is coming to PlayStation platforms.
  • Bastion is coming to PS4 and PS Vita
  • Orcs Must Die Unchained is coming to PS4 in 2015
  • Gang Beasts is coming to PS4.
  • The Banner Saga is coming to PS Vita.
  • TowerFall Ascension is coming to PS Vita with new stages early next year.
  • Octodad: Dadliest Catch is coming to PS Vita early next year.
  • Sony is producing and publishing Resident Evil: Revelations 2 for PS Vita as a downloadable title in the spring.
  • Suikoden 1 and 2 are coming to PS Vita and PS3 on December 9.
