BioShock Infinite Gets Original BioShock’s Art Director

None

Nate Wells, art director for BioShock Infinite, has recently left Irrational Games after spending 13 years with the company. As a result, Scott Sinclair, the art director for the original BioShock, is stepping up to take his place.

Considering BioShock Infinite is already almost done, Sinclair has his work cut out for him. I mean, Wells designed nobles with heads made of bronze megaphones; now Sinclair has to match this creepy steampunk style.

In addition, Gamasutra reports that Tim Gerritsen, director of product development at Irrational Games, has also left the studio. That’s two high-profile design team members leaving the project mere months before the game is slated for release. Even though the game has already been delayed until February 2013, the team will likely have to pull a miracle or two to prevent it from being delayed again.

BioShock Infinite was not shown at E3 this year and will not be shown at Gamescom. Studio head Ken Levine has said that publisher 2K would likely not be showing the game at conferences again until it is ready for release.
