Brandon Sanderson is a huge name in fantasy literature. He first made a splash with his own writing before being pegged by Robert Jordan as his modern day amanuensis, continuing the Wheel of Time series to its conclusion after Jordan’s unfortunate passing. Now, Sanderson is setting foot in another fantasy universe; the prolific author has been chosen to pen a novel set in the Infinity Blade universe. Dubbed Infinity Blade: Awakening, Sanderson’s website hosts a several-chapter long preview of the novel. The writing is crisp and clean, flows easily, and manages to paint a vivid picture. Action moves quickly, but clearly.
