Special events keep games with strong online presences alive. People see them as a reason to keep going. So, a lot of Destiny players are going to be disappointed this week. It turns out the Iron Banner tournament won’t be happening as expected.
Destiny’ s Iron Banner was supposed to begin June 21 and run until June 28. Except complications have gotten in the way. Bungie took to Twitter to explain that technical difficulties have delayed the event. Like the Trials of Osiris issues from last weekend, people were having trouble joining matches, which would keep them from participating.
Bungie didn’t say when the issues keeping Iron Banner from happening will be resolved. However, the developer has fixed the Destiny Honeydew errors coming up during Nightfall, Weekly Strikes, and raids.
