Call Of Duty Elite Experiencing Launch Issues

Call Of Duty Elite Experiencing Launch Issues

None

When new online games first launch, they generally end up encountering problems with unexpected server load. Call of Duty Elite is not so much as game as it is an online social experience, but it is experiencing the same popularity problems nonetheless.

Long story short, Call of Duty Elite subscribers have been hit with tons of registration and login bugs due to the high strain being put on the service’s servers. Activision and Beachhead are doing everything they can to fix these problems, and they are assuring players that Elite is still capturing and recording all MW3 gameplay data so that all advertised Elite services will be available once members can finally register and sign in.

Here’s a brief explanation straight from the official CoD Elite status page:

Registration requests for our new live service Call of Duty Elite are exceeding even our most optimistic expectations, which is creating a bottleneck and some players have not been able to register.

Please be assured your gameplay data is safe and that whenever you successfully register for Call of Duty Elite, all of your data will be waiting for you.

Nevertheless, the Call of Duty forums are exploding with complains about the service (especially since becoming a Premium member requires an additional fee). We will give you more info on the status of Call of Duty Elite as it becomes available.
