Call of Duty: Ghosts No Longer Takes 6GB of Ram to Run on PC

Call of Duty: Ghosts No Longer Takes 6GB of Ram to Run on PC

Call of Duty: Ghosts has quickly become well known for its ludicrous PC requirements and its dog. While a recent patch by Infinity Ward doesn’t do anything to the dog, it does manage to lower the PC requirements to 4GB of ram instead of 6, allowing mid-range computers to play the game. The patch will also smooth performance on PCs with fewer than four cores. Of course, if you do have a pimpin’ Alienware computer or something, this patch also supports 4K textures, just in case you wanted a level of detail that is almost unnoticeable by the human eye.

The new patch also introduces several balance changes, most notably in spawn points and XP amounts for Search and Destroy. There have also been new anti-cheat measures introduced, to prevent cheaters from wall hacking or aim botting. Finally, a new E-sports option has been introduced which not only contains a broadcast mode but also allows you to see the latest MLG ruleset in Private Matches and System Link.

For the full list of updates and changes to both the PC and PS4 version of Call of Duty: Ghosts , head on over to the official Call of Duty Community Website.
