Good news to any of you Call of Duty fans who want to know more about any additional game modes to feature in the franchise’s upcoming installation, Call of Duty: Ghosts ; Activision, the game’s publisher, has shown off a new trailer, revealing a new “fast-paced” game mode called Extinction. Extinction is a one-to-four player survival/horde mode (judging by the mode’s trailer), and is described as being, “a unique blend of fast-paced survival action, FPS base defense, scavenging and class leveling.” Oh, and it also features aliens!
Aside from fending off these aliens, your main objection in Extinction appears to be destroying a sort of nest-like looking manifestation, and getting evacuated in one piece–or two.
So, this new game mode seems to have this sort of air of “survive or be hunted” about it, but I have a feeling that those of you who check out this new game mode may just go in guns blazing anyway, regardless of any sort of health warnings about interacting extraterrestrials, which may include (and are probably not limited to) lacerations, ankle-biting, and going ragdoll upon death.
