Capcom Announces “Remember Me”

Capcom Announces “Remember Me”

None

Capcom recently teased that they would have a big announcement at Gamescom this year. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the announcement of a new Darkstalkers or Mega Man game. Instead, Capcom revealed a brand new IP entitled Remember Me.

The game takes place in Neo-Paris, a futuristic cyberpunk setting where minds and memories are as easy to hack into as computers running AOL on Windows 95. You take on the role of Nilin, a “memory hunter” who has the ability to break into people’s minds in order to steal, erase, or change someone’s memories. Unfortunately, Nilin has had her own memory erased and now she has to hunt down the culprit and get to the bottom of a gigantic conspiracy that threatens Neo-Paris.

Remember Me is being developed by Dontnod Entertainment and is set to release in last spring next year. It will be available for the PS3, PC, and Xbox 360. The gameplay appears to be a mix of action and open world elements along with a small bit of parkour-based platforming. However, there wasn’t exactly a lot of gameplay shown in the announcement trailer, so this is all speculation at this point.
