Capcom's Inafune and Bungie Buddying up; Project in the Works?

None

Over on Bungie.net, the company’s weekly update (released on September 11 th ) revealed that Keiji Inafune, A.K.A. INAFKING, Mr. Mega Man, and Head of Research & Development and Online Business at Capcom, had stopped by Bungie’s Seattle studio to learn a bit about how Bungie’s development process works.

While this isn’t exactly earth shattering, it does hint at a level of cooperation between Capcom and Bungie – perhaps the two companies are planning on working on a project together in the future?

In fact, this speculation is actually backed up by Inafune himself and further confirmed by the fact the comment is posted on Bungie.net. When I asked why he came to Bungie’s studio, Inafune-san stated:

“Bungie is an amazing studio that has made incredible games. So I was always curious about how they made their games in hopes of being up to add some of the flavor into Capcom games. Also, I wanted to come down to Bungie in order to see just how well our philosophies on game design matched up. If things clicked, I know it would be interesting to collaborate together on a title in the future.”

Sounds like a rosy proposition. Hopefully the gaming wheels are already turning.
