Keiji Inafune, formerly of Capcom and now CEO of the new development studio Comcept, hinted that he may be working on a new title for the PlayStation Vita at GDC yesterday. During a presentation called “The Future of the Japanese Gaming,” Inafune said that Japanese developers need to create new brands on new hardware in order to find success. Essentially, he reiterated the same thing he said when he left Capcom. Companies are stagnating far too much, and if developers to not take steps to innovate, gaming will simply die a slow death. As an example, he showed that his company is working with mobile phones, the 3DS, and the Vita.
