In one of the more interesting marketing maneuvers, not seen since reader’s chose Jason Todd’s fate in the Batman comics (to my recollection), Epic is giving fans the option to choose what happens to Clayton Carmine. According to 1UP, starting July 29th, fans can cast their votes by purchasing either a “Save Carmine” or “Carmine Must Die” Avatar shirt on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Comic-Con attendees will also have the option of picking up real versions of these shirts.  Before anyone cries foul, Epic will be donating all of the proceeds from the sales of these items to Child’s Play, which is a well-known charity that helps sick children. Whether you want to save Clayton from sharing the same fate as his two brothers before him, can’t wait to see how this Carmine will suffer, or just want to help Child’s Play, it’s almost time to start voting. |
