Castle Crashers Reaches The 3 Million User Mark

Castle Crashers Reaches The 3 Million User Mark

Developer The Behemoth has announced that, as of yesterday, over 3 million players have sliced and diced their way onto the Castle Crashers leaderboards “in the hopes of gaining animated glory” on Xbox LIVE. In mathematical terms, that’s a lot of players.

“Reaching the 3 million in leaderboards means a lot to us for so many reasons,” said the developer in a blog post. “It shows us that there is still demand for 2D games like Castle Crashers. It motivates us to keep on creating fresh and original content like in Castle Crashers.”

Castle Crashers was originally released back in 2008 on Xbox LIVE Arcade, where it has gone on to sell over 2 million copies. The PlayStation Network got the 2D hack-n-slash in 2010, and a Steam version was just recently announced too.
