Castle Crashers Remastered Breaks onto Xbox One

Castle Crashers Remastered Breaks onto Xbox One

Wednesday is going to be a good day for Xbox One owners who like playing games with friends. That’s when the system gets Castle Crashers . Only it isn’t just Castle Crashers, it’s an improved version called Castle Crashers Remastered.

Castle Crashers Remastered is bigger and better because of all the extra work the developer, The Behemoth, put into it. The online multiplayer works better, due to a number of performance upgrades, though many of these carry over to the standard game as well. The framerate is up to 60fps, and the texture size has been increased by five. Also, there’s a new mini-game called Back Off Barbarian.

Perhaps the best thing about Castle Crashers Remastered is the price. If you already own the original Xbox 360 game, you can get the updated version for their Xbox One for free between September 9 and 20. The loyalty bonus goes up to a $5 price after September 21. Everyone else will have to pay $14.99 for the game. Owners will also get a backwards compatible version of the first game once Microsoft releases the backwards compatibility update for the Xbox One.
