However, the PlayStation 4 version of the game still has plenty to offer players, mostly retaining feature parity with its PC equivalent. Perhaps most importantly (for some), cheat codes for The Sims 4 are one of the things that do actually carry over on PS4!
Not only that, but the game has plenty of secrets that you can find on the PlayStation 4 version. We’re going to show you a few of the coolest you can discover in The Sims 4 on PS4.
Enabling Cheats for The Sims 4 on PS4

Before we begin showing you all of the cheats you can use in The Sims 4 on PS4, you need to know how to enable them first. It’s really simple. While in-game, press all four shoulder buttons on your controller (L1, R1, L2, and R2) at once. This will bring up the in-game console, just as you can access it on PC. After you’ve got this open, enter the code ‘testingcheats true.’ This will allow you to use all of the cheats The Sims 4 on PS4 has to offer.
It’s as simple as that! All of the codes you’ll find here are the exact same as their PC equivalents, so with testingcheats set to true, you’re all set to enter these codes into the console as you please. The Sims 4 PS4 Cheats: Ultimate Guide
As we’ve mentioned, most cheats in The Sims 4 on PS4 are compatible across every version of the game. There are a couple of exceptions, such as PC-exclusive cheats like ‘fullscreenToggle.’ Let’s get straight into all of the ones you can use right now, by opening the in-game console as we showed you earlier.
Money Cheats
These cheats can be used to lighten the load on your Sim’s finances, allowing you to avoid worrying about that aspect of the game.

The Sims 4 Secrets on PS4
You’ve seen all the cheats The Sims 4 on PS4 has to offer, and now we’re going to show you a few secrets that we think you might find interesting to find for yourself.
Your Sim’s Dominant Hand
Did you know that your Sims actually have a dominant left or right hand? If you didn’t before, now you know. It’s not a part of Create-a-Sim, so most players don’t think about it. Your Sims dominant hand is actually assigned at random, thanks to a hidden trait.
Finding out which hand your Sim uses is easy. Simply take them to any sink faucet and get some water from it. Your Sim will collect the water in a glass using their dominant hand, revealing whether they’re left or right-handed!
Simlish Versions of Real Songs for The Sims 4
At some point in your time on the internet, you may have come across the famous clip of Katy Perry singing her song “Last Friday Night (T.G.IF)” in Simlish for The Sims 3. However, she’s not the only one over the years, with plenty of others re-recording their hits in the language of Simlish for inclusion in the game.
The Sims 4 on PS4 has plenty of note. For example, if you purchase the Get Together expansion, you can tune in to the Pop radio station in-game to be treated to a Simlish version of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Run Away With Me.” The song still hits the same, despite its utterly nonsense lyrics in the re-recording.
If Carly Rae Jepsen isn’t quite your tempo, you can also find a Simlish version of Nelly’s 2002 hit “Hot in Herre,” coming with the Seasons expansion pack. The Simlish re-recording does a good job of obscuring some of its more dated lyrics, resulting in a song you can listen to around your parents without blushing.

The Grilled Cheese Aspiration
If you eat three grilled cheese sandwiches in a row, you’ll unlock the secret Grilled Cheese aspiration for your Sim. What does it mean? All of life becomes about grilled cheese. Your Sim can only think about eating grilled cheese, and will only want to talk to others about grilled cheese. The only thing they fear? Burning their grilled cheese. Grilled cheese is love; grilled cheese is life.
The end goal is even more insane. Once you reach the final stage of the Grilled Cheese aspiration, you’ll need to build a rocket. That’s right – your Sim’s only dream in life is to eat a grilled cheese in space. To each their own, we guess.
Sylvan Glade
In The Sims 4 on PS4, there’s actually a well-hidden lot that many players have no idea about: Sylvan Glade.
To get to Sylvan Glade, you need to head to Willow Creek. There, find the Crick Cabana lot, where you’ll find a huge Sylvan Tree. Upon interacting with it, you’ll only have the “View” option. Select this several times, and the option to “Water” it will appear. Do this multiple times again, until even more options become available. Keep interacting with it via the “Compliment on Leaves” and “Chat About Roots” options, until you open up the “Explore” interaction. This will open up some more choices. You need to select “Follow the Sound,” “Travel Downstream,” “Enter the Mist,” and “Travel to Glade.”
After this, you’ll be in the secret Sylvan Glade lot! You’re not supposed to be able to build here, but if you use the “bb.enablefreebuild” cheat that we showed you earlier, you can make Sylvan Glade your permanent home.
