Christina Norman Joins Riot Games

Christina Norman Joins Riot Games

None

Do you know who Christina Norman is? You don’t? Well, she was the Lead Gameplay Designer on Mass Effect 2 and 3. So for all that time you spent gunning down aliens with Shepard, Norman was to blame.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like she will be working on anything Mass Effect-related in the future, as she has recently switched companies. Trading in her space suit and assault rifle for a sword and shield, Norman has left BioWare to join Riot Games, the guys behind League of Legends.

Her motives are absolutely charming, though. She is moving away from the Edmonton based BioWare studio to get married. She is leaving on good terms, and she is confident that Mass Effect 3 will be the best game in the series yet.

Stepping up to take her place is Preston Watamaniuk, Lead Designer on Mass Effect 1 and 2. Of course, Mass Effect 3 is just about finished, so let’s hope this means that we will see a Mass Effect 4 sometime in the future.

Otherwise, good luck with Riot Games, Christina!
