Bandai Namco has confirmed that the first batch of Dark Souls III DLC will be arriving in the fall. If you haven’t bought the game yet, trust me, unless you don’t have a job and can devote all of your time to being awesome at Dark Souls , you’ll still be working through this one by the time fall rolls around. Dark Souls III is brutally difficult, but it’s also stunningly beautiful. This is such a rich and rewarding experience, and I have no doubt whatsoever that we’ll eventually be starved for more content.
Exactly what that content will be, we can’t say. Bandai Namco hasn’t confirmed anything except the price of the season pass, which will set you back a modest $25. We did, however, catch a glimpse of the season pass description when it showed up on Steam and the Xbox Marketplace back in February. “Challenge yourself with new maps, bosses, enemies, and additional weapon and armor sets. Prepare yourself once more and embrace the darkness.” That’s almost as obtuse and ambiguous as Dark Souls’ plot, so we’ll just have to be patient and wait for Bandai Namco to spill the beans.
