Dark Souls PC A Possibility

Dark Souls PC A Possibility

None

From Software’s so-hard-it’s-good action-RPG pseudo-sequel to previous so-hard-it’s-good game Demon’s Souls was also the first multi-platform release in the “franchise,” coming to the Xbox 360 at the same time as it hit the PlayStation 3. Now, there’s word that the game could find its way to PC, courtesy of a petition.

Wait, a petition that actually accomplishes something? How likely is that?

Normally it wouldn’t be worth covering, except that the petition was created in response to a NAMCO Bandai representative on the company’s European Dark Souls forums. Administrator Shoupinou stated that a demonstrable high interest level through a petition could tip the scales in favor of a port, since NAMCO Bandai has no firm stance either way on the idea.

The resulting petition currently sits at approximately 58,500 signatures, an achievement accomplished in less than four days. There is also a Steam group demanding the port and Markus “Notch” Persson, of Minecraft fame, has expressed his support of the idea.

Well, NAMCO Bandai and From Software, what are you waiting for?
