DC Comic’s “Infinite Crisis” MOBA Shutting Down

DC Comic’s “Infinite Crisis” MOBA Shutting Down

MOBAs seem to be the big thing these days, but just because the formula is hot doesn’t mean that it will be successful. Turbine has just announced that its game Infinite Crisis , the DC Comic free-to-play MOBA, will officially shut down this summer. The game will go dark on August 14, though servers still stay up until them.

“After much deliberation, we regret to announce the official shutdown of Infinite Crisis,” the studio said. “This was an extremely difficult decision to make. On behalf of the entire Infinite Crisis team we want to thank all of you for your feedback, support, and for joining together to create one of the best communities in gaming.”

Turbine has not yet announced how they will handle players who still have a balance in their game wallet at time of closing.

Infinite Crisis officially released at the end of March 2015. This gives the game only a five month lifespan, which is impressively short, even for a free-to-play game.
