Dead Island’s DLC Delayed

Dead Island’s DLC Delayed

None

Today marks the end of the third quarter of 2011, and with it, developers have apparently been reassessing their release schedules. One casualty of the shuffle is Techland’s Dead Island, whose Bloodbath Arena DLC has been pushed back to a yet undetermined date.

The message, posted on the game’s Facebook wall, is apologetic, and promises an announcement regarding the DLC’s release next week.

Set to retail online for $10, the Bloodbath Arena DLC was also included as a free voucher for people who pre-ordered Dead Island and have, ever since, been patiently waiting to download it. The DLC is, as with the rest of the game, both single-player and multiplayer compatible and consists of four arenas in which players take on the undead, their scores uploaded to an online leaderboard. Any experience and weapons they earn during the arena matches is set to transfer over to the main story campaign.
