Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II Cheats & Cheat Codes for Game Boy Advance

Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II Cheats & Cheat Codes for Game Boy Advance

Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II is an action role-playing game developed by Webfoot for the Game Boy Advance. The game has similar gameplay elements from the first title, while also bringing some fresh elements. While at heart the game is a true Dragon Ball fighting game, it also offers the ability to change character stats.

Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II Premise

The game is a classic fighter in the vein of its predecessors with some RPG flair. In addition, the Transformations make a return. This crucial aspect of the series allows characters like Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and Trunks to tap into their Super Saiyan powers. Use it and get a stat and speed boost during battles.

The game’s story puts players on the timeline of Future Trunks, based on Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks. Play starts with young Gohan, gradually adding characters like Piccolo, Vegeta, Future Trunks, and Goku into the roster of playable characters. Faithful to the original anime, the game features authentic environments, enemies, music, and attacks from the series.

Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II Main Characters

Unlike the first title in the series, Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II features a variety of playable characters. While only Goku was playable in the previous game, they added some of the most important Dragon Ball characters to the second iteration. Here are all the fighters in the series. However, it is worth noting that one of them, Hercule (or Mr. Satan as it’s often referred to) needs to be unlocked in a specific way. We have that covered later on in the article. Without further ado, here are the main, playable characters of Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II.

Goku from other Dragon Ball games is available in this one too.
  • Goku: The main protagonist in the Dragon Ball series, the protector of Earth, and a Saiyan.
  • Gohan: Goku’s first-born son with Chi-Chi, a miniature version of the powerful Saiyan that has the powers of his father.
  • Trunks: The son of Vegeta and Bulma. A half-Saiyan half-Human who has an alternate universe version, Future Trunks. Both are able to access the Super Saiyan transformation.
  • Piccolo: The most famous of the Namekians, the green-skinned humanoid species, and the trainer of Goku’s son Gohan. Massive personality and size.
  • Vegeta: The last prince of the Saiyans, who thinks he is the most powerful warrior in the galaxy.
  • Hercule (Mr. Satan): The mustache-wearing World Martial Arts Champion with the curly Afro.

Titles in the Series

The series is part of a larger Dragon Ball game franchise that has dozens of games. started with the release of Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku in 2002 and has since span across three different titles. The latest game released for the series is Dragon Ball Z: Buu’s Fury. However, there are also a couple of spin-offs released also developed by Webfoot, namely Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu and Dragon Ball GT: Transformation. Regardless, here are the official games for the series.

Cheat Codes

The game doesn’t have a traditional cheat code system, but there are ways to bypass these problems if one has a Code Breaker handy or is playing on an emulator. Furthermore, there are some tips that can help people progress in the game, unlock all the characters, and find secrets.

Code Breaker is a device that changes the game through codes. Today, these discontinued gaming accessories can be expensive to obtain due to their limited supply. However, some emulators support Code Breaker and may have it pre-installed. If so, you can use these Code Breaker codes to cheat.

Other Tips

Vegeta Big Boom: While playing as Vegeta, a player can charge the big attack while paused. This allows charging a much more powerful attack while the dialog is happening.

Cooler Boss Fight: Players can fight Cooler as an extra boss if they find all 7 Namekians and bring them home. Note that the dialog before the fight will depend on whether the character is Goku or Trunks.

Unlock Mr. Satan: To unlock Mr. Satan, the player has to get everyone except Goku to Level 50. After, they must go through each fighter’s Level 50 Area and collect their Character Trophies. Then players have to beat the game to get Goku’s Trophy, which also displays a message announcing Mr. Satan as a new character.
