Successfully complete Maximum mode on the Hard difficulty setting to unlock the Mania difficulty setting in Maximum mode.
Infinite Dragon Power
Successfully complete Maximum mode on the Mania difficulty setting to get unlimited Dragon Power.
Play as Android #16 and #17
Successfully complete the “16’s Agitation” level in Android #18’s storyline to unlock Android #16 and #17.
Play as Android #18
Successfully complete the “Differences in Experience” level in Krillin’s storyline to unlock Android #18.
Play as Babidi
Successfully complete the “Evil Discovered” level in Vegeta’s storyline to unlock Babidi.

Successfully complete the “Best Friend” level in Buu’s storyline to unlock Hercule.
Play as Mecha Frieza
Successfully complete the “Time in the Other World” level in Frieza’s storyline to unlock Mecha Frieza.
Play as Metal Cooler
Successfully complete the “Big Gette Star” level in Cooler’s storyline to unlock Metal Cooler.
Play as Shenron
Successfully complete the “That Hurts, Shenron!” level in Ginyu’s storyline to unlock Shenron.
Play as Super Buu
Successfully complete the “Best Friend” level in Buu’s storyline to unlock Super Buu.
Play as Tien and Yamcha
Successfully complete the “Revived! The Ginyu Force” level in Krillin’s storyline to unlock Tien and Yamcha.
Play as Trunks (Super Saiyan)
Successfully complete the “Time Machine” level in Trunks’ storyline to unlock Trunks (Super Saiyan).
Play as Vegeta (Super Saiyan)
Successfully complete the “Vegeta vs Android 18” level in Vegeta’s storyline to unlock Vegeta (Super Saiyan).
Play as Zarbon and Dodoria
Successfully complete the “Frieza’s Irritation” level in Frieza’s storyline to unlock Zarbon and Dodoria.
Extra Support
Watch the credits and wait until the black screen at the end finishes to unlock the use of one Extra Support.
Team attacks
Place the following characters on the same team and they will be able to do a simultaneous team attack:
- Goku, Adult Gohan, and Gotenks
- Goku, Super 2 Gohan, and Bardock
- Perfect Cell, Super or Evil Buu, and Frieza
- Super Trunks, Super Vegeta, and Super 3 Gotenks
- Vegeta, Piccolo, and Goku
Play as Neko Majin Z (Japanese version)
Successfully complete Z Battle mode and all sixty Maximum mode battles on the Novice, Hard, and Mania difficulty settings. At the mode selection screen, press Up, X, Down, Y, L, R, L, R, Start. Then, highlight any support character, hold R and press A.
