Square Enix has revealed a new addition to the Final Fantasy XV universe. So far we have the game itself, an anime mini-series, a CG feature film, a mobile game, and now A King’s Tale: Final Fantasy XV . This is a retro, side-scrolling brawler starring big poppa himself (King Regis).
In A King’s Tale , players will be able to take full control of young King Regis as he hacks and slashes his way from stage to stage, fighting various monsters and beasts from the world of Final Fantasy XV . King Regis will use a variety of weapons, magic, summons, and companion attacks to dish out damage. The game launches alongside Final Fantasy XV on September 30 for PS4 and Xbox One, but will only be available as a bonus to those who pre-order FFXV from participating Gamestop or EB Games locations.
