EA is currently developing Frostbite Go, a division designed to help EA developers create mobile games with the Frostbite engine.
“One of our most exciting current projects is called Frostbite Go, a mobile division empowering EA game developers with Frostbite’s proven excellent workflows and features to bring true Frostbite experiences to all major mobile platforms,” read Frostbite’s official website.
EA has been pushing their Frostbite engine pretty heavily. The first game to be powered with the all new Frostbite 3 will be Battlefield 4. It will also be used in new games from BioWare, including Dragon Age III and the next entry in the Mass Effect franchise. Presumably, Frostbite Go will not be a direct port of Frostbite 3, but instead similar architecture optimized for the mobile platform.
Frostbite Go will help power games for both Android and iOS.
