Star Wars Battlefront is a game that encourages the purchasing of DLC. While there are a few maps, modes, and characters to enjoy in the base game, you’re always seeing what others have access to and are playing. But this weekend, EA’s going to be inclusive. Everyone’s going to get Outer Rim!
Temporarily, mind you. This is a one weekend opportunity to try the Outer Rim DLC for Star Wars Battlefront. Maybe you’ll like it! Maybe you won’t. But hey, you can’t say no to an opportunity to try the Extraction Mode, four maps, and using Greedo and Nien Nunb. Hop on May 13 and do as much exploring as you can until May 15.
Personally, it seems odd EA hasn’t done this sooner. Giving people a brief opportunity to enjoy add-ons is a win. A taste often makes you want the full thing. And it’s not like one or two weekends is going to hurt their bottom line. Maybe this will be the start of a trend!
