Sony Online Entertainment surprised many EverQuest fans over the weekend by revealing the series’ next title at their annual Fan Faire event. The working title for this upcoming game is EverQuest Next, although this will likely change before it is released.  According to EQ2Wire’s liveblog of the event (via VG247), this upcoming title will be trying to more closely resemble the first EverQuest, rather than the sequel. EverQuest Next will also be keeping some familiar settings as well as contents from both previous titles. The combat is said to more interesting, engaging, and built from the ground up with PVP in mind. No further details were given, however, we can expect to hear more about this title as it gets further along in development. |
