A rather fun Final Fantasy XV exploit has been found. You know how this game follows the road tripping adventures of Noctis, Gladiolus, Ignis, and Prompto? Well, sometimes you get guest party members. Among them are Cor Leonis, Gladiolus’ little sister Iris, and Aranea Highwind. It turns out one of them can permanently come along for the ride.
If you’re past chapter nine, you can force Aranea to continue rolling with the Final Fantasy XV boys. Camp at Cotisse Haven, near Hammerhead. At midnight, save. Head north to the wall with red fence until a Giant spawns. Make it mad, so it’ll come after you, then run away. Quickly bring up the map and fast travel to a rest point. Once you get there, open the camp menu. Look around and make sure you see Aranea’s dropship. Wait for her to jump down to join your party. Once she does touch down, camp. In the morning, reload the camping auto-save. Voila! There’s Aranea, your now-permanent buddy.
However, Aranea’s presence means you’re trapped. You cannot fish when she’s a member of your party. As long as you’re okay with missing that minigame, go for it!
