A fire tore through a Nintendo UK customer repair warehouse last Wednesday. The fire happened at Repair Tech, a company used by Nintendo UK to fulfill customer repair requests. The fire was quite large, requiring ten firetrucks to put it out.
The location contained no stock that was to be shipped out to the public, so it shouldn’t effect Nintendo sales at all. In addition, no one was hurt so that’s a good thing. However, anyone whose console was sent to that location for repair has basically completely lost it in the blaze. Nintendo has decided that all owners who had a console at the warehouse will receive free replacements for all of their products, along with some eShop credit.
An investigation is underway to try and find the cause of the fire but as of yet it is still unknown.
