First Left 4 Dead 2 DLC Confirmed

First Left 4 Dead 2 DLC Confirmed

None

Valve announced today that Left 4 Dead 2 will receive its first add-on content in the coming months.

Called The Passing, the DLC will unite the survivors from L4D with those from L4D2. The pair of quads will cross paths after the Dead Center mission in L4D2.

The DLC will also bring new arenas for Survival, Versus, and Scavenge modes as well as a new co-op challenge mode. Furthermore, the add-on will bring with it a new “uncommon common” zombie and melee/ranged weapons.

According to Valve’s VP of Marketing, “The Passing will become the most important campaign in the Left 4 Dead story, as all the Survivors are being called together in one campaign.” He continued, “It will also be a huge offering of new gameplay content, with something new for every game mode plus a new uncommon common and weaponry.”

A pinpointed date and pricing have yet to be detailed, but expect the additional content to be free for PC and cost from 800 to 1200 MS points for Xbox 360.
