Consoles and Modern Warfare 2 aren’t the only gaming items selling well. Valve is reporting that Left 4 Dead 2 has already shifted over 2 million units – that’s astonishingly double the amount of copies sold than the original in the sequel’s first few weeks at retail. Doug Lombardi, VP of Marketing at Valve, stated that “Left 4 Dead 2 is off to a great start with strong support at retail and great reviews from the press. Meanwhile the title has already been played by over 1 million Xbox LIVE Gold account holders, and news regarding L4D2 DLC 1 is coming very soon.” By the sound of it, L4D2 gamers can look forward to the first of several add-ons very soon.
