Five Nights At Freddy’s DLC: A Complete Rundown of New Nightmares

Five Nights at Freddy’s Summary

Five Nights at Freddy’s is a survival horror game developed by Scott Cawthon and released in 2014. The game is set in a Pizzeria where players control the security guard, Mike Schmitt. However, a tape recording warns you of unusual behavior from the restaurant’s animatronics. Every night, they come alive and try to murder the security guards. Players can use security cameras to watch for movement and close the security doors to prevent the animatronics from getting inside the room. But, there is a finite amount of energy available, and if you use all the power, the doors will open, and destiny will consume you.

The game was a critical and commercial success, creating an entire franchise and a dedicated fan base. While the concept and design have been praised, others have criticized its horror element. The game relies solely on jump scares to scare players, which becomes old and boring after failing enough times.

Five Nights at Freddy’s DLC

Unfortunately, Five Nights at Freddy’s does not have any DLC for players to purchase. However, the series does feature eight mainline games, five spin-offs, four books, and an upcoming movie. So, there is no shortage of content for this series in the slightest. Each title runs between $7.99 and $39.99, depending on when it was released and current sales.

Is Five Nights at Freddy’s Worth the Money?

Yes, for horror fans, Five Nights at Freddy’s is worth it, especially taking into account the $4.99 price tag. While the game is simple, the later days become increasingly harder as you try to conserve energy while still keeping an eye out for animatronics. One of the biggest drawing points to the series is the lore, which gets vaguely explained in each game. Popular YouTube channels like GameTheory have an entire series dedicated to the franchise.

Five Nights at Freddy’s Tips and Tricks

The best tip for new players is to learn the basics of conserving energy by opening the doors and turning off the lights. While this makes you vulnerable, it will also teach you the necessary resource management to beat the game. Keep the camera on 4B as you progress to ensure Freddy doesn’t move, and periodically check on Foxy. If Freddy begins to move, it’s going to be a rough night.
