FortressCraft Sales Top 750K On Xbox LIVE

FortressCraft Sales Top 750K On Xbox LIVE

None

FortressCraft, a popular Xbox LiIVE Indie Game, has been long accused of being a Minecraft clone. Like Minecraft, the game tasks you with building up your own dream world through using low-resolution pixelated blocks in a 3D space. That being said, people love FortressCraft. The game just reached its 750,000th sale on Xbox Live. That’s monumental for an indie game.

Of course, the game is soon going to have some harsh competition. Minecraft, the real deal, is going to be dropping on Xbox LIVE Arcade on May 9th. The creators of FortressCraft insist that the two games are different; while Minecraft allows you to be creative in a world with other goals (such as avoiding Creepers), FortressCraft is only about the creative aspect of the game. Are these creative aspects enough to breed brand loyalty for FortressCraft, or will it’s users jump ship when Minecraft hits Xbox LIVE? We’ll find out next week.
