Game-O-Meter – Playing Counts

Game-O-Meter – Playing Counts

None

Never waste good money on a bad game again. The Game-O-Meter is designed so that you only pay for what you play.

Whether you download games online, or physically purchase them, the Game-O-Meter will track exactly how much time you’ve spent on a game and charge you accordingly. This system will save gamers tons of money on games they don’t like. The gaming industry claims this will inspire more confidence in spending, since there’s little to no risk for consumers. If a player likes a game, the most he or she will have to spend is the suggested retail price. With Game-O-Meter, everyone’s a winner.

“This is a tough market,” says Stogie Boe, “Everybody want a piece of the pie, but there are less slices being served. And there’s even less scoops of ice cream on the side, with very few cherries or sprinkles. It’s not pleasant. If you want a cuppa’ with that, and a smile from the pretty young waitress, it’s going to really cost you. And what’s to show for it when it’s gone? Who wants to live in a world like that?”

“I’m not really sure the point Boe is trying to make,” says interpreter Ollie Warnot, “But games cost a lot of money these days, and kids can’t take chances ending up with a game they don’t like. The Game-O-Meter automatically tracks how long you’ve played the game, and if you don’t like it, take it back to the store and get a refund. It’s that simple,” Warnot adds.

All games will have an embedded chip that retailers can scan. It will tell them how long you’ve played the game. The first fifteen minutes are always free. So you can sample games and keep only the ones you find interesting. All you have to do is set up an account where funds will be deducted or reimbursed. The average cost to play a game for an hour is usually just over a dollar. The same system applies to downloadable games as well.

“I knew this trapeze guy who worked at the circus,” claims Stogie Boe, “He always used to tease the clowns. I used to tell him, you play with fire you’re gonna’ get smacked with an oversized hammer. So one day a clown bites him. I told him it served him right. So he quits the circus and sits around all day bellyaching about the high price of video games. He should have got a pie in the face, like the old days.”
