GDC 2010: Sony Keynote in Review

None

Yesterday afternoon, Sony Computer Entertainment hosted their keynote address at GDC 2010. CheatCC covered the event and has the complete lowdown of the announcements.

Below we’ve gone ahead and compiled a terse description of the most important aspects of the presentation. For more comprehensive reporting, click HERE to check out the keynote coverage in its entirety.

The primary focus of the keynote was on Sony’s motion controls. The gaming giant finally gave us a name for their motion controller: PlayStation Move. The unique-looking controller is supposed to be the most precise on the market (1:1 detection). It is a solution for both the casual and hardcore sets, and it will sell (bundled with the PlayStation Eye and a game) for under $100. More pricing options are still undecided, as the PS Move will also be sold separately and can be paired with a wireless sub-controller for two-handed gaming.

If you have the time, you can also check out the keynote for yourself in the Ustream video that follows.
