As we all know, Cliff Bleszinski of Epic Games was supposed to make an appearance on Late night with Jimmy Fallon last night (4/8) but ended up postponing. Apparently, the game he was going to announce wasn’t quite up to snuff, so Epic was going to revise it just a bit before the big reveal. Of course, Gears of War 3 was always going to be the revealed IP, but we were going to have to wait for official confirmation until Monday. However, the proverbial cat is out of the bag.
According to screenshots taken by AllGamesBeta.info of the Xbox dashboard (featured below), Gears of War 3 is coming to your living room a year from now: April 2011. While no other hard facts are known at this time, yesterday we reported on the rumored updates coming to the franchise such as a revamped cover system, burrowing torpedoes, mech suits, and underwater levels.
