Gears of War 3 Announces New Map Pack

Here is how the new leveling system works. First, you get to grind your character up to level 100, then you have a chance to “Re-up” and reset your character to level 1 as an elite. It sounds much like going Prestige in Call of Duty. When you Re-up, your experience and rank will be reset but all other progression is saved, including your TrueSkill rating. You can Re-up up to three times and you get a new rank icon color each time; you’ll start with bronze, then get red, green, and finally gold. Each Re-up also gives you an exclusive weapon skin that cannot be obtained in any other way.

The Fenix Rising pack is included in the Gears of War Season Pass, so anyone who’s purchased the pass will get this for free as soon as it’s out. For everyone else, the pack will cost 800 Microsoft Points.
