As of now, four expansions for the upcoming Gears of War 3 have been announced, the first pack dropping as early as November. All four DLC packs, if purchased individually, will eventually end up costing you $45. However, Epic Games will be offering a “Season Pass” deal once the game has launched on September 20th. The Season Pass costs $30 but basically guarantees you all four DLC packs as they come out. It also gets you an exclusive “liquid metal weapon set,” though we don’t actually know what is included in that set. 
This means that Gears of War 3 might just be the most expensive 360 game out on the market today. Buying the Epic version will cost you $150. Add a Season Pass and you are looking at a 180-dollar game, with the exclusive controller just jacking up the price even more. You could buy a 3DS for less than that! By Angelo M. D’Argenio |
