God Of War Ragnarok Secret Endings

God of War Ragnarok Kratos Atreus

God Of War Ragnarok has the same ending no matter how you play or what achievements you receive during the main story quest. However, the first ending is not truly the end. After defeating Odin and playing as Kratos, return to Sindri’s house in the space between realms. Lunda will be there waiting for Kratos and you will trigger the start of the secret ending/mission. Titled A Viking Funeral, you will have to help Sindri lay his brother Brok to rest.

Travel to Svartalfheim and find the funeral. Once at the funeral, help Sindri load Brok’s body onto a Viking funeral boat and gently push it out to a lake. From there Freya will set the boat on fire from a flaming arrow and Sindri overcome with grief will disappear to the space in between the realms.

Earlier in the game, Brok asks the riddle, “What gets bigger the more you take away?” Only after his death does the disembodied head of Mimir understand the riddle. Mimir answers, “A hole… it gets bigger, the more you take away.” With this, the game’s story fully ends and you will be returned to the open-world to finish any quests or collectibles you might have missed.

Explore the World

God of War Ragnarok FAQ

God of War Kratos combat

Is God of War Ragnarok hard to beat?

Yes and no. If you want to speed run the game and only do story missions and never upgrade your gear or abilities, then yes this game will be challenging (playing on the normal difficulty). If you want to spend time exploring, upgrading, and finding better gear then this game will be challenging but nothing more than the average game could handle.

Is there a secret boss in God of War Ragnarok?

Yes, and this boss could be a secret boss in it itself. The Raven Keeper appears to be a frail old woman but she is the hardest boss in the whole game. To reach this boss you’ll need to hunt and kill all 48 of Odin’s ravens, open six legendary chests at the Raven Tree in Niflheim, and then the Raven Keeper will appear.

She has strong magic attacks and teleports. When she drops below a certain health she will summon minions to give her health back and fight you. If you don’t die, she’ll summon a full dragon called the Pale One to try and end you. If you survive that then you can begin the final attack and defeat her.
