Remember the Gun Game mod from Counter-Strike? You started with a simple pistol (or a knife in some versions) and with each kill your weapon upgraded to progressively better guns. You may recall that Call of Duty: Black Ops had a similar game mode in its wager matches. Well, the original Counter-Strike Gun Game is what started it all, and Valve is very aware of this. This is why they are building it directly into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Instead of being called “Gun Game” the mode will be called Arsenal Mode, but the mechanics are still the same. Valve is even reaching out to the original creators of the mod to help fine-tune Arsenal Mode.
