Halo: Anniversary Will Be “Better With Kinect”

Halo: Anniversary Will Be “Better With Kinect”

None

This year’s Microsoft Press conference at E3 featured a heavy focus on selling the Kinect peripheral to hardcore gamers. Kinect integration with Mass Effect 3, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, and a new Fable game were touted as experiences that made the Kinect peripheral something that all gamers should adopt. But the Kinect still doesn’t have that “killer app” that makes it a universal necessity. However, it may be getting that later this year with Halo: Anniversary.

Though Microsoft Studios boss Phil Spencer did confirm that there will be Kinect support for this title, he stopped short of actually saying what this support would entail. However, according to a Halo Waypoint forum administrator, you won’t have to use Kinect if you want to enjoy Halo the way that you are used to. Will this include gestured-based shooting? A special “Kinect mode” that is optional? Voice commands? The possibilities are endless, and we’ll let you know as soon as we learn something concrete.
