Hammer Storm Bringing Loads of New Content to Halo 5

Hammer Storm Bringing Loads of New Content to Halo 5

343 Industries has a pretty incredible live team, and they’re dedicated to keeping Halo 5: Guardians as fresh and engaging for players as they can. Updates and additions have been consistent, and when you take all of the content you’re getting as part of the Hammer Storm update into account, 11 maps, 12 new modes and over 180 new REQ items have been added to Halo 5 for free. In the beginning we were a little salty about 343 charging real-world money for REQs, and though it seems like lots of money has been made from REQ pruchases, it’s really paid off for the fans in the end. How can you hate on free additional content?

Hammer Storm introduces Grifball as an official game mode (343 is working on a team-killing issue, by the way), as well as Assault and Fiesta, the latter being a whacky, “weapon-roulette” showdown. You’ll be eager to load up a game of Assault on Torque, a symmetrical, sprawling new map that’s also perfect for capture-the-flag. The Gravity Hammer and Halo: CE Pistol have been added, along with a host of new REQ offerings in the form of attachments, skins, armor, emblems, assassinations, visors, and stances. For more information head over to Halo Waypoint , where you can read all about a new Firefight mode that 343 has been teasing.
