Rumor has it that gamers have a lot of old school fun in their futures. Reports of a Splinter Cell trilogy, a Prince of Persia trilogy, and a collection of three Mortal Kombat games coming to HD have been popping up on the internet. According to Eurogamer, Zawi.com, a U.K. online retailer, listed both the Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia trilogies, mirroring a slip earlier last month by Amazon’s French website. The Splinter Cell remake, according to Zawi, is scheduled to release on November 26, 2010, and the Prince of Persia remake is scheduled for March 11, 2011. Both are retailing at (pound)29.99, which is about $47.  GameStop listed a title called ‘Mortal Kombat: HD Arcade Kollection’ on their website. This is the second time the game has been listed on an online retailer, the first time being the UK retailer ShopTo. The link has since been taken down on both GameStop and ShopTo. The listed release date, November 16, is coming quickly, so we hope to be able to confirm rumors soon. |
