The subscription price for PlayStation Plus goes up this month, so we expected Sony to appease disgruntled players by offering a stellar PS Plus free games lineup for September. I’d say that they definitely delivered. There are some great games to be had this month, even if the best of the bunch are likely already in your library. Here’s what’s on the menu:
- Lords of the Fallen (PS4)
- Journey (PS4, PS3)
- Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (PS3)
- Datura (PS3)
- Badland (PS Vita, PS4, PS3)
- Amnesia: Memories (PS Vita)
There isn’t a single dud here as far as I’m concerned. Reviews of Lords of the Fallen are fairly mixed, but it appears to be a slower-paced Souls -like game. The star of the show is Journey , and if you’ve never played this game I truly envy you for the experience you’re about to have. Clear out a couple hours of your evening and play it through in one sitting. Overall it’s a great lineup, and I hope Sony can follow up properly next month!
