Hitman Beta Starts in February

Hitman Beta Starts in February

While initially only a PC sort of thing, betas are increasingly becoming available for consoles too. Hitman is getting one, with PlayStation 4 owners who pre-ordered getting a first chance to try the game on February 12, about a month before the first part of the game launches.

The Hitman beta isn’t just an introduction to the game. It adds onto the series’ lore. Agent 47 is inducted into ICA for the first time, going through the training and meeting Diana Burnwood, his handler. You’ll learn how to play and take on a mission, while also being reintroduced to the character. Since it happens 20 years before the original game, expect him to not be the skilled assassin you’re familiar with.

Here’s a Hitman beta trailer:

In addition to the PlayStation 4 Hitman beta, exclusive missions were announced. Sony’s console will be the only one with The Sarajevo Six contracts. In them, Agent 47 goes around the world to hunt down six people from a group called CICADA. He’ll be looking for them in France, Italy, Japan, Morocco, Thailand, and the US, and this mission pack will be available sometime in 2016.

Hitman will launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on March 11. It will only have three contracts at launch.
