Square Enix and Io-Interactive brought the goods today with some new info and some new footage for Hitman . Following the success of its initial beta on PS4, Io-Interactive has decided to hold a second beta beginning on March 4 for all PlayStation Plus subscribers. As long as you have PS Plus you can participate in this beta; no pre-order required. “This will allow us to really stress test our server setup,” Io-Interactive said in a press release, “which is a crucial element for us to get [server game mechanics] just right.”
The beta, also referred to as “The Prologue,” takes place 20 years before the Paris Showstopper mission. Through the prologue players will take control of Agent 47 as he’s introduced to the ICA, and to his future handler Diana Burnwood. Players will get to play through two free-form training hits, which will serve as an introduction to various features and mechanics in the full game.
