Two of the best things to come out of the Suicide Squad movie were Harley Quinn and Deadshot. People developed new appreciation for the characters, thanks to the film. Hopefully, this will carry over into games too, as both of the Suicide Squad super villains will appear in Injustice 2 . The Gamescom 2016 trailer introduced both of them.
By the way, let’s go ahead and start with that Injustice 2 Gamescom video, since it’s a pretty good one.
Harley Quinn is a returning fighter. She was a gadget user in the original Injustice. For Injustice 2 , she’s getting some new costumes, with looks inspired by Suicide Squad . She’ll also still use her bat and hammer. Deadshot is new to the series, and again looks quite a bit like he did in the movie.
I think both are excellent additions to the Injustice 2 roster. Harley’s always great, and Will Smith really made Deadshot likeable. And, if the timing is right, maybe the video game will be released around the same time as the DVD and Blu-rays for Suicide Squad .
