Get ready to pick up your DualShock 4, hold it out in front of you, and shout, “It’s Morphin’ time!” Seems like we’re going to get a new Power Rangers game from Bandai Namco. At least, that’s if leaks are to be believed. Europe’s Pan European Game Information Board (PEGI) has given a 12+ rating to Saban’s Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Mega Battle for the PlayStation 4.
Unfortunately, this rating doesn’t tell us much about the actual game. Aside from the basics, all we know for sure is that Saban’s Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Mega Battle is an action game. The last console entry in the Super Sentai series, from which the Power Rangers TV series takes its footage, was 2011’s Super Sentai Battle: Ranger Cross for the Wii. This must be an entirely new game.
Saban’s Power Rangers is going to be coming to theaters on March 24, 2017. There is a chance this could be Bandai Namco calling early dibs on a game that will tie in with this movie. The 2016 Tokyo Game Show is also coming up in September, and there’s a chance an announcement could be made there. Looks like we have a wait-and-see situation!
